Why did I choose chemistry and pharmacy?

Honestly, last year I wasn’t very sure about what I really wanted to study, because I didn’t have the enough time to think about it. At first, I think about study medicine (and currently I think I could study this career in the future if I really want it), but I have always liked chemistry, since the first year of high school I was very good in this science, so also I think about to study something related to it.
Finally In the end of last year I fell in love with chemistry! (Redox, labs and chemicals equations especially) and that was when I considered to study chemistry and pharmacy, because I investigated and it has son many areas where I can specialize and work. Also I love all things that I can make in a chemistry lab. The world of the drugs (medicine) it is really huge and so interesting!

It was a surprise to me when I found out that I was accepted in chemistry and pharmacy of the University of Chile. So I went, and now I’m happy studying this career (although I've been here only for two months). Every day I discover a new thing about it that excite me more. The only idea that I’m going to work with this science, and apply it on drugs, on investigations of them, to help people with them makes me happy and motivates me to finish the career and be an excellent pharmaceutical chemist.

I have always liked to dance but I never thought about taking classes. I had a friend that motivated me to dance belly dance with her in a workshop of high school in 2014. So I signed in, and I fell in love with dance in general. A country that I would visit

I would like to go to the U.S.A. Honestly I don’t like to much this country, but since I had memory I have always wanted to go to Hawaii. I know this state is part of the Polynesian culture (and I love that culture). This place It’s full of nature, with an incredible flora and fauna (in the island and the ocean) and landscapes. Also, the music is beautiful; it’s melodious and motivated, same as their traditional dance, the Hula. If I had the opportunity to go there I would: go to dance classes (to learn the Hula), learn to play different traditional instruments, like the Ipu and Pahu.; visit and swim in the six islands (and If I could with dolphins haha), diving, go to the Luau or others traditional Hawaiian parties and finally talk with the people of Hawaii to learn more about their culture. My name is Gianella Simone Grimaldi Ossandón, I was born on January 12 th , in 1999. My parents are Alvaro and Marcela. I have one younger brother and one older sister; she has a son of 4 years. So I’m in the middle. Also I have a pet, a Yorkshire toy called Luna, she is 8 years. I have lived with my family my whole life in San Bernardo, Santiago.
