Vacations - 2018!

 University it’s about to end and maybe the summer upcoming it’s going to be the best in my life. It would be my first summer as a university student and everyone knows that the better parties are at this time of your life. My first summer travel it would be to La Serena City, it’s kind of a familiar tradition go every year there, because all my mother’s family is there. Then I would go to Elqui, because I LOVE that place.

 Last summer was crazy, I went with my friends to KMZ and I never thought it was going to be like that, I danced the whole night till’ me feet gave no more. This summer I want to go there again with my best friend Antonia, by the way she got her driver’s license this year so a great adventure on wheels is waiting for us. Taking advantage of my first destination, it would be really nice if I could visit San Pedro and other touristic landmarks in the north of our country, also I would like to go to the south of Chile (Villarica, Pucón, Puerto Montt). Later on February, it would be really nice if I could meet with my philosophical friends and visit a National Park, like Seven Cups, and set a camp for a week more or less, make our own food and be in touch with Mother Nature, looking for personal reflection and self-knowledge. A couple of days of trekking are also within my plans (when my knees get better). So basically, I’ll divide my summer into party nights and know a little part of the natural beauty of Chile.

I have always liked to dance but I never thought about taking classes. I had a friend that motivated me to dance belly dance with her in a workshop of high school in 2014. So I signed in, and I fell in love with dance in general. Since then I like to dance any type of music, although I’m not a professional dancer and I don’t know exactly how I should dance each different styles, I only do what comes to my mind and I enjoy it. About playing the ukulele, I started last year. I really like the sound of it, it is very pleasant and easy to play. Sometimes I play the piano too :D I love reading. I read a lot since I can remember. I have always been interested in the words, the vocabulary, etc. So reading has always been a pleasure to me. A country that I would visit

I would like to go to the U.S.A. Honestly I don’t like to much this country, but since I had memory I have always wanted to go to Hawaii. I know this state is part of the Polynesian culture (and I love that culture). This place It’s full of nature, with an incredible flora and fauna (in the island and the ocean) and landscapes. Also, the music is beautiful; it’s melodious and motivated, same as their traditional dance, the Hula. If I had the opportunity to go there I would: go to dance classes (to learn the Hula), learn to play different traditional instruments, like the Ipu and Pahu.; visit and swim in the six islands (and If I could with dolphins haha), diving, go to the Luau or others traditional Hawaiian parties and finally talk with the people of Hawaii to learn more about their culture. My name is Gianella Simone Grimaldi Ossandón, I was born on January 12 th , in 1999. My parents are Alvaro and Marcela. I have one younger brother and one older sister; she has a son of 4 years. So I’m in the middle. Also I have a pet, a Yorkshire toy called Luna, she is 8 years. I have lived with my family my whole life in San Bernardo, Santiago. From 2004 to 2016 I attended to the same school in primary and high school (Sagrado Corazón Institute, San Bernardo). In primary I went to scout for 3 years.
